Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York is a not-for-profit charity serving children, families and developmentally disabled adults across New York City and Long Island. Our staff of over 600 people provide caring and professional services to nearly 2,000 people every year.
Little Flower’s Young professionals Committee (YPC) brings together emerging leaders in NYC and Long Island to build a community dedicated to raising awareness of Little Flower’s mission and work through volunteering and fundraising activities. The YPC provides a wide variety of networking and leadership development opportunities to connect like-minded young professionals, such as volunteer opportunities, holiday party planning for foster children in NYC and networking events.
All foster parents are mandated to attend the Reasonable & Prudent Parenting Standard Training (R&PPS). Part of your responsibility as a foster parent is to update you knowledge base on issues pertaining to our children in care and to obtain information and tools to empower and strengthen your role in assisting them.
If the home is a 2-parent household, then both parents must complete the training.
Training will start promptly. Please be on time–lateness is unacceptable.
“Little Flower was the best thing that ever happened to me – don’t know where I would have wound up if I wasn’t here.”
