Opportunities For Giving

 
Little Flower Children and Family Services is a not-for-profit charity. The Internal Revenue Service issues an annual declaration exemption for all agencies in the Official Catholic Directory which includes Little Flower. A copy of Little Flower’s IRS 501 (c) (3) Letter of Determination is available upon request. Gifts to Little Flower are, within statutory limitation, deductible for income tax purposes. Specific tax information may be obtained by e-mailing Little Flower or calling the External Relations Office at 631-929-6200 ext. 1172.
 

Ninety cents of every dollar you donate goes directly to the programs and services that help us care for children without families.
Little Flower keeps all donor information private and will not sell or give your name to other organizations.

Such gifts represent a heartfelt gesture to honor the memory of others while enhancing the lives of children in Little Flower’s care. Send A Special Intention
An increasing number of people are choosing to honor the special people in their lives by making a gift to Little Flower . We all have special relationships with people whose impact on our lives is priceless -- those we admire, respect, cherish and love. These gifts can be made for any special milestone in someone’s life such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and weddings.
Leave A Legacy
If you are interested in making a provision in your will to further the work of Little Flower, you can provide a bequest to Little Flower for its general purposes. The following is the suggested wording for inclusion in your will. "I hereby give, devise and bequeath to Little Flower Children and Family Services, a New York State Corporation (insert sum of money or description of real or personal property) to be used for the general purposes of said corporation."
Double Your Donation
Does your company have a matching gift program? Many will match their employees’ donations to Little Flower. Some even double it! All you need to do is fill out your company’s Matching Gift Form and send it along with your donation. Little Flower does the rest. Check with your Human Resource Department to see if your company has a matching gift program and if they don’t, ask them to start one.

Give A Gift In Kind
These special gifts help Little Flower provide even more for the children in our care. Gifts in kind can be new Christmas toys, tickets to a special event our children usually would not have the opportunity to attend, or gently used office equipment for Little Flower’s many locations.

Please note: Unfortunately, Little Flower cannot accept used clothing, toys or stuffed animals.

Despite substantial program funding from New York City, New York State, and Nassau and Suffolk Counties, Little Flower needs supplementary resources from the private sector. We rely on corporations and foundations and, most importantly, individual and family contributors to enrich the services the children in our care so desperately need. We wholeheartedly invite your consideration of financial support through individual wills and trusts, insurance policies, transfers of appreciated securities or real estate, and other planned giving opportunities.
