  • Obtain continuous shift coverage
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Assist in the conduction of investigations regarding allegations of abuse and other incidents

On Call Twenty-Four (24) Hours

  • Respond to emergencies
  • Help Assistant Director conduct investigations re: allegations of abuse
  • Responds to ER if necessary
  • Responds to site if necessary
  • Suspends staff, collects statements


  • Goal Plan Review
  • Monthly Goal Review (Residential and Day Program)
  • Developmental Disabilities Profile (in birth month)
  • Liaison between clinicians and residents
  • In Nursing absence
    • Review Nursing Referrals
    • Physician visit report review
    • Restock low medications (per communication log)
    • determine priority


  • Annuals:  strengths, weaknesses, needs, minutes, signatures, client review, staff review
  • Bi-Annuals:  minutes, signatures, staff and client review
  • Quarterlys:  update needs list
  • Special ITT’s:  call for special meetings (with Assistant Director)

Internal Audit

  • Review Assistant Manager audits
  • Program book review-daily
  • Bowel Chart Reviews
  • Medication cart reviews.

Supervision of Recreational Activities

Supervision of Assistant Managers

  • Ensure Assistant Managers are following their responsibilities
  • Do time cards and overtime rationale in floater’s absence
  • Train new employees—orientation.
  • Assist Assistant Managers when supervisory short staffed.
