Michelle Amato, LMSW

Chief of Staff/VP, Strategic Innovation

Michelle Amato, of Center Moriches NY, joined Little Flower in 2007 and moved steadily up the ranks from caseworker to her current role as Chief of Staff/VP for Strategic Innovation.  She is a graduate of Ithaca College and Stony Brook University where she earned a Masters in Social Work. Michelle chose her path in social services so that she could have an effect on the lives of many more young people and ultimately help them to live the best lives they can.

While at Little Flower Michelle has steadily increased her responsibilities and knowledge of the social service sector, working in numerous departments including Therapeutic Foster Boarding Home, Residential Treatment Center, Bridges to Health (B2H), and Health Care Management.

She has a knack for building programs, such as implementing and building a highly successful B2H and creating a spin-off of B2H, Bridges to Family for OPWDD residents.  Michelle was also part of the team that developed the policy and procedure manuals for the relatively new Collaborative for Children and Families (CCF) Children’s Health Home and was an active participant in the CCF implementation.
