Little Flower’s FEC was named the Bed-Stuy N.E.S.T. by a community vote. The N.E.S.T., which stands for Neighbors Embracing Strengths Together, was designed and led by the local community as an upstream prevention strategy. The FEC enables community members to access a wide range of resources and offerings created by the community to strengthen families and decrease child welfare system involvement. At the Bed-Stuy N.E.S.T., people can do anything from holding meetings to using resources like computers and printers, or just enjoying some quiet time with their kids.
