About Little Flower
Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York is a human services nonprofit supporting the well-being of children, youth, families, and individuals across New York City and Long Island since 1929.
Our Mission
Little Flower transforms caring into action to deliver services, programs, and direction to improve the lives of children in crisis, families, and adults with developmental disabilities.
Every day Little Flower strives to fulfill its mission to serve children and families weathering life storms and adults with developmental disabilities in need.
Affiliation
In January 2019, Little Flower and St. John’s Residence for Boys entered into an affiliation agreement. St. John’s provides holistic and strengths-based residential education, treatment, and care to young people and adults in need to help them heal and realize their self-worth.

Programs
Foster Care
It takes a special person to provide the time, resources, energy and love that go into nurturing a child or youth separated from their family – all the while working to reunify the child with their family.Little Flower is committed to identifying loving.
Health & Wellness
Little Flower’s Mental Health and Medical Department uses a trauma-informed, multi-systemic approach to providing children and families with high-quality services that support their physical and socioemotional health and well-being.
Residential Treatment Center
The Residential Treatment Center (RTC), located on our Wading River campus, serves children from Nassau and Suffolk counties as well as youth who are referred through the New York City Committees on Special Education.
Adults with Developmental Disabilities
For more than 40 years, Little Flower has been committed to providing quality residential and community inclusion services and treating individuals with respect and dignity.
Family Enrichment Center
Little Flower was one of nine service providers chosen to facilitate the opening and maintenance of a Family Enrichment Center (FEC), in partnership with the Administration for Children's Services.
Preparing Youth for Adulthood
Little Flower aims to level the playing field for foster youth by providing them with vital skills and opportunities for success.The Preparing Youth for Adulthood (PYA) .
