Diversity. Equity. Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)
At Little Flower, we believe these to be more than words.
These are the values that guide our work and mission.
Diversity. Equity. Inclusion. Belonging. At Little Flower, we believe these to be more than words. These are the values that guide our work and mission. Little Flower’s DEIB Committee is an intentional space for breaking the cycle of systemic and structural marginalization through respecting individual differences, affirming lived experiences, and impacting change within our communities.
We celebrate and embrace the uniqueness of every individual in our community. We respect, value, welcome, and embrace every client, employee, and community member for who they are. Together we are working to build an inclusive culture that empowers each of us to bring our best and most authentic selves into the workplace.
Our belief in the importance of equity is grounded in action and critical self-reflection. We combat racism by actively building anti-racist institutions where we:
- Work with community partners to engender multiracial, multiethnic, pluralistic societies.
- Challenge ourselves to understand and correct inequities we discover, and work towards ensuring that our anti-racist commitment is reflected in our policies, procedures, and practices.
- Mobilize strategies for addressing oppression and marginalization in our community.
- Prioritize safe and brave spaces where we educate, celebrate, and give voice to minoritized and marginalized identities.
As a Sanctuary-certified organization, Little Flower uses a trauma-informed lens to encourage emotional intelligence, open communication, and social responsibility. This framework enables us to foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all employees and clients.
Little Flower values people based on their character, action, and merit, and has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination.
