Little Flower is pleased to announce that Howard Nolan has been elected as its new Chair of its Board of Directors.  Howard succeeds Leonard Scioscia, who served as the Board President since 2015 and will continue to serve on the Board as the treasurer.

“It has been incredibly rewarding to serve as Board President these past five years and I thank the Little Flower Board for the opportunity,” said Leonard Scioscia.  “I join my fellow members in congratulating Howard on becoming the new Board Chair.  I have the utmost confidence in Howard’s leadership and Little Flower’s future.”

Howard joined the Little Flower Board in 2014 and has been an active member of the Finance, Executive, and Audit Committees.  He has also served as Co-Chairman of the organization’s Annual Golf Committee for more than 20 years.

“I am proud to have contributed to the work that Little Flower has done to help improve the lives of children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities,” said Howard. “In my new role, I’m excited to further Little Flower’s mission and expand the reach of our programs to provide safety and stability for more New Yorkers.”

Howard is the Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Corporate Secretary of BNB Bank.  He joined the Bank in 2006 and has served as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, as well as a member of the Board of Directors.

“Along with my colleagues, I offer my congratulations to Howard on his election to Board Chair,” stated Vice-Chair, Father Patrick West.  “It has been my privilege to serve as Little Flower’s Board Chair for 22 years.  I am honored to pass the torch to Howard and am confident that together we will build on Little Flower’s mission of transforming caring into action.”

Corinne Hammons, Little Flower’s President and Chief Executive Officer says, “we are thrilled to have a talented leader like Howard as our Board Chair.  Little Flower will benefit enormously from his significant experience, skills, and commitment to our mission.  My sincere thanks to Len for his years of dedicated and inspiring leadership for Little Flower and for being a mentor and guide to me, and to Fr. West for being the compass for us all as Chair for many years.  I look forward to working with Howard and the Board to further our work of improving the well-being of the children, families, and people with developmental disabilities we serve so they can reach their best potential.”
